Pinguicula moctezumae is a beautiful species of butterwort native to Hidalgo and Queretaro, Mexico. To supplement poor environmental nutrition, the elongated leaves produce sticky droplets to trap and digest insects. P. moctezumae is known for its prolific purple flowers. The butterwort plant is a passive trapper, which means it doesn’t actually use movement to snare its prey.

We recommend planting this plug in our Pinguicula soil.

***IMPORTANT NOTE:
This plant ships as a bare root starter plant.
