Mountain West Western Red Cedar Mulch is wonderfully aromatic and used in the landscape industry to control weeds and to beautify road sides, homes and businesses. A dense and moisture retaining product that bonds together, mats down and stays in place (great for windy areas and hillsides). Cedar also has a great benefit in pest control.

  • Used for perennial ornamentals or vegetables such as asparagus or rhubarb
  • Apply mulch anytime year-round and shortly following transplant or seedling emergence for annuals
  • Pro-tip: if the area has low or wet spots, too thick of a layer of mulch causes water to stay in the soil, which causes root rot and other problems. Either avoid the use of mulch in those areas or use a thinner layer there
