Mountain West Western Red Cedar Mulch

Mountain West Western Red Cedar Mulch is wonderfully aromatic and used in the landscape industry to control weeds and to beautify road sides, homes and businesses. A dense and moisture retaining product that bonds together, mats down and stays in place (great for windy areas and hillsides). Cedar also has a great benefit in pest control.

Used for perennial ornamentals or vegetables such as asparagus or rhubarb

Apply mulch anytime year-round and shortly following transplant or seedling emergence for annuals

Pro-tip: if the area has low or wet spots, too thick of a layer of mulch causes water to stay in the soil, which causes root rot and other problems. Either avoid the use of mulch in those areas or use a thinner layer there
