Hoffman Horticultural Perlite is a lightweight soil conditioner, a white, powdery material, that loosens clay soil, reduces caking and improves drainage and aeration.

Can be used to start seeds, propagate cuttings and store bulbs

Blend with peat moss and vermiculite for custom soilless mix

Use as a soil amendment or alone as a medium for hydroponics or for starting cuttings When used as an amendment, it has high permeability and low water retention and helps prevent soil compaction

For seeds, sow on a well-watered mixture of equal parts perlite and Sphagnum Moss Peat. Alternatively, add 1 part perlite to 2 parts ready-mixed potting compost
