Statice, “Cotton Candy Blend” Seeds

Limonium sinuatum

Category: Tag:

Bring long-lasting, pastel charm to your garden and vase. The stems can reach 18″ long, and the papery texture of the flowers adds a unique trait to dried flower arrangements and crafts. Grows well in coastal areas; Cotton Candy Blend doesn’t need a cool period for flowering like other statice. 1 ½”–3″ flower clusters in soft rose, pink, and lavender shades.

When to Start Inside: RECOMMENDED. 8 to 10 weeks before your average last frost date.

Days to Emerge: 7–14 days

Seed Depth: Surface to ⅛"

Seed Spacing: A group of 3 seeds every 12"

Thinning: When 2" tall, thin to 1 every 12"

Special Instructions: Deadheading is not required, so you can leave flowers in place as long as they appeal to you. For cut flowers, cut in the morning once flowers have fully colored. To dry flowers, hang upside down out of direct sunlight for about 3 weeks until stems are dry and crisp enough to snap. Dried flowers are fragile, handle gently.

Special Care: Light aids germination; sow shallowly.
