FUNDRAISING
Since 1994,
Gulley Greenhouse has been offering a successful fundraising program
that benefits local, nonprofit organizations for youth. Numerous groups
have used our "Profit with Plants" program to generate funds
or mission trips, programs, scholarships, etc. We offer two opportunities
each year; our Spring Program and our Holiday Program.
This year's Spring Program was a great success for all. Twenty-two groups participated, selling 3078 cards!
Our Holiday program starts-up in
late August. We will offer Gift Certificates that are redeemable at
Gulley Greenhouse. The Gift Certificatess are available for poinsettias
in two sizes, and a decorated 20" wreath You may choose to sell
any or all of the products.
You pay nothing upfront, Gift Certificatess are given to the customer(s) at the time of purchase; no return trips, no colors to record! Your customers are satisfied, as they pick out their own products. Your profit margins are exceptional.

Activity Schedule
2005--2006
February 11th - Sensational Seeds!
Come and explore the fascinating world inside of
a seed. We will be dissecting seeds, making scientific predictions about
the insides of fruit, as well as planting some seeds of our own!
March 11th - Aquatic Ecosystems!
Please bring an extra $3 per child for this class.
We will be exploring the fascinating relationship between fish and plant
roots. Each sprout will create a mini ecosystem with a beta fish and
philodendron and will take home a fully functional aquarium!
April 8th - Spring Has Sprung!
It is annual time! Let's give spring a nice
warm welcome and create our very own annual container gardens. We will
learn the life cycle of annuals as well as learn many common varieties!
Don't miss this class!
May 13th - Pick-n-Eat Garden!
Get ready to get dirty! We'll
be planting our Sprouts veggie and herb garden (cross your fingers for
good weather). Bring water and if it is sunny, sunscreen.
June 10th - Prairie Pioneers!
Sprouts , we're taking a field trip! We will meet
at the Cathy Fromme Prairie just north of Gulley Greenhouse on Shields.
Parents will need to sign a field trip waiver for each child. Don't forget
your hiking boots, water and sunscreen! We will take a hike, identify
some native plants and animals and do some bird watching!
July 8th - Summer Picnic! Noon to 2pm
It is that time of the year again for our annual
picnic! Bring your bathing suits, water toys and towels and join us in
the Aqua building. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
August - NO CLASS!!!
That picnic took everything out of us, so we
decided to give ourselves a much-needed break. Come in and register for
our new school year, order a new t-shirt and get the new schedule. We
will see you in September!
