What is LiveRoof®?

LiveRoof is a unique patent-pending green roof product with prevegetated ‘invisible’ modules. Because the modules are pre-grown at the greenhouse to 95% vegetation, there is no longer a need to spend years farming a rooftop trying to make it green. And unlike other green roof products, LiveRoof is subterranean (with no edges showing) so it is natural looking and attractive from the day of installation.

System Components

The LiveRoof® system was developed by a team including horticulturists,
roofers, architects, and material handling experts. It consists of several components: the tray (or module) which is made of injection molded plastic. This ensures no flexing or bending. The soil elevator (white bands in image at right) is removed at time of installation so it allows over 1” of soil to connect above the entire network of trays. The last, and perhaps the most important component is the plants!
